Is every action that is legal also ethical? can you describe an action that is legal but ethically wrong? is every ethical action also legal? is the law not ethics? the only guide that business managers need to consider.

* YES, A legal action is ethical since the consequences of the legal action to the people directly or indirectly affected by the legal action is more favorable than unfavorable. But if we will think about it based on actual experiences, any legal action is not always ethical.

* Starting a business running up a bunch of debt with suppliers and contractors, then going bankrupt and handing the business over to your wife and doing the same thing again and again until you run out of family members and all your local suppliers and contractors have gone bust themselves.

* Laws can be neutral on ethical issues, or they can be used to endorse ethics. Laws also permit many actions that will not bear ethical scrutiny. In other words, what the law permits or requires is not necessarily what is ethically right. For instance, laws allow disloyalty toward friends, the breaking of promises that do not have the stature of legal contracts, and a variety of deceptions.
